Yugo Brings Formula 1 Engineering and Career Experiences to Students During Spanish Grand Prix Week

More than 500 students from Yugo residences and universities across Barcelona will take part in a week of exclusive Formula 1-inspired experiences through Yugo's partnership with Visa Cash App Racing Bulls.

Spain

To coincide with the Formula 1 Barcelona-Catalunya Grand Prix, Yugo, the global student housing brand and operator, will deliver a week-long programme of events featuring Visa Cash App Racing Bulls Formula One™ Team (VCARB), designed to connect students with one of the world's most innovative industries. From engineering talks and career development sessions to exclusive behind-the-scenes experiences, the initiative will provide students with unique insights into the skills, opportunities and careers that power Formula 1.

Through a series of activations taking place between 9 and 15 June, students will engage directly with Formula 1 professionals, explore the skills required to succeed in one of the world's most innovative industries and gain valuable insight into careers spanning engineering, strategy, performance and operations.

The programme reflects Yugo's commitment to enhancing the student experience beyond accommodation by creating opportunities that support employability, personal development and meaningful industry connections.

Throughout the week, students and residents across Yugo's Barcelona communities will gain exclusive access to Formula 1-inspired activities, ranging from engineering talks and professional development sessions to fitness challenges, racing simulators and behind-the-scenes experiences with the VCARB team.

The headline event will take place on 10 June at the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC), where Guillaume Ducreux, Trackside Strategy Engineer at Visa Cash App Racing Bulls, will host an exclusive talk for students interested in engineering and motorsport. During the session, attendees will gain first-hand insight into what it takes to work in Formula 1, how teams operate under pressure, the skills required to enter the industry, and the role innovation plays in decision-making at the highest level of racing.

Simon Griffiths, Senior Vice President of Operations Europe at Yugo, said:

"Formula 1 is one of the world's most innovative industries, yet many students never have the opportunity to see the breadth of careers behind race day. Through our partnership with Visa Cash App Racing Bulls, we're creating direct access to engineers, strategists and performance specialists so students can explore opportunities they may never have considered."

"At Yugo, we believe where students live should help shape their future ambitions. By connecting students with world-class professionals and real industry experiences, we are creating opportunities that support employability, personal development and lifelong inspiration."

Barcelona is the latest city to host activations as part of Yugo's global partnership with Visa Cash App Racing Bulls, which provides students around the world with unique access to Formula 1-inspired educational initiatives, employability opportunities and community experiences. Similar initiatives are planned across key student markets worldwide throughout the year.
