Shop 'til you drop
From the latest fashions to the freshest bread, shopping in Lincoln covers all bases. Here’s our guide to making the most of the best retail hotspots in the city…
United Kingdom
Surrounded by Insta-worthy landscapes, Lincoln is packed with restaurants and student bars. Head to cobbled Bailgate for a history-meets-boutique-shopping experience, with coffee, cake and cold beers on the side. To turn up the chillout dial (or the romance factor) take a sunset stroll along the Brayford Waterfront or hit the cultural quarter for theatres, museums and art. To really get away from it all, follow a tranquil lakeside trail in Whisby Nature Park and give yourself a total reboot. Particularly good after a big night on the town!
Park Court offers fun and friendly en suite student accommodation just a 10-minute stroll from the University of Lincoln, and a 20-minute walk from Bishop Grosseteste University. Getting to lectures couldn’t be easier.
If you want to explore, then the city center and Brayford Waterfront are just five minutes’ walk away, where you’ll have plenty of high-street shops and restaurants to choose from.
The easy life starts here. Getting from your own ensuite bedroom onto Lincoln University campus takes just ten minutes. Walking. And it’s 20 to Bishop Grosseteste University.
You’re also five minutes from the city centre with its historic Cathedral Quarter and Insta-worthy waterfront for food, drink and entertainment.
Like live music? The Engine Shed is Lincolnshire’s biggest venue or find a hip and quirky speakeasy for cocktails. On a sunny day you can sleep off the excesses in the green spaces of the beautiful Arboretum.
