The Most Popular Summer Bristol Festivals in 2022 For Students

If you’re looking for something to do after uni exams have finished and fancy a Bristol festival in 2022, then look no further.

We’ve compiled a list of some of the best Bristol festivals in 2022, so that you can get stuck in as soon as the bell rings for your uni summer break!

Bristol Pride

One of the best, most action-packed Bristol Festivals in 2022 will undoubtedly be Bristol Pride.

Set across various venues from 25th June till the 10th July, there’ll be plenty of fun to be had.

On 9th July Pride Day returns to the Downs, with a huge party and several stages of live music and entertainment from artists including Priyanka, Katrina of the Waves and Abba Inferno.

Don’t miss out on the rainbow-coloured Pride Parade March through the city and the after-parties.

St Paul’s Carnival

This year’s Carnival will be somewhat more tranquil than in previous years, it’s still definitely worth checking out!

There’ll be two weeks of community events planned, including a St Pauls Carnival takeover event at Lost Horizon, a family picnic in St Pauls and a community-focused event at the Malcolm X Centre.

Next year the Carnival will return in all its splendour!

Bristol Sounds

This massively popular event is set to be one of the miss-it-miss-out Bristol festivals of 2022.

From 22nd - 27th June, the open air music festival returns to Lloyds Amphitheatre with a glittering line-up.

Enjoy performances from Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds, Paolo Nutini, Elbow, Jungle, First Aid Kit, and The War on Drugs, while dancing on the dockside.

Brecon Beacons Presents

Between 13th and 15th July, get down to Lloyd’s Amphitheatre and soak up the sounds of one of music’s greatest living legends, Nile Rodgers and CHIC.

The duo is the ultimate party experience, and what’s more, Belle and Sebastian will also be playing. So make sure you get hold of a ticket while you can!

Bristol Harbour Festival

This nautical knees up is already a classic amongst festivals, and is sure to be one of the most fun Bristol festivals of 2022 for students.

The theme this year is ‘Ebb and Flow’, and explores the changing face of Bristol and its harbour over the last century.

The festival will take place between 15th and 17th July.

On the Harbourside you can take your pick of live music, comedy, aerial acts, circus performers, markets, food stalls, visiting vessels, and more.

Bristol Craft Beer Festival

Lloyd’s Amphitheatre once again sets the scene for another banging Bristol Festival in 2022, this time in the shape of the Bristol Craft Beer Festival.

On 10th and 11th June, more than forty brewers will take part, including Moor Beer, Wild Beer Co., Left Handed Giant and more.

There’ll be plenty of grub on offer too including festival-exclusive dishes in the new firepit area.

As well as that, you can enjoy live music from artists including DJ SPoony, Beardyman, and Bristol’s Saffron Records, as well as an amazing atmosphere.

The ticket includes access to all areas, all the beer you drink on the day, and a free tasting glass to take home - cos we all love a freebie!

Siren

Groove Armada tops the bill at this year’s Siren festival.

The Bristol festival will take place between 29th and 30th July, in what will be its 25th anniversary.

Alongside Groove Armada, other artists will appear including Fun Lovin Criminals frontman Huey Morgan, Saffron Records, and Scarlett O’Malley.

Other artists include Hybrid Minds (+ Tempza), Kings of the Rollers, High Contrast amongst other drum and bass heavyweights.

Fields of Fantasy Festival

This one is definitely going to be a Bristol festival in 2022 that you will always remember!

From 29th to 31st July, at a secret location on the outskirts of Bristol, you’ll be treated to performances from some of the big names in electronic music whilst camping out.

Not only that, but alongside 10,000 other festival goers you can explore a magical woodland maze, walkabout theatre, a floating restaurant, wood-fired hot tubs and wellbeing experiences.

Bristol Balloon Fiesta

August 11th to 14th will see hundreds of hot air balloons taking off at dawn and dusk over Ashton Court Estate.

This breathtaking spectacle might not be what you think of when you think about summer festivals, but take our word for it - it’s stunning!

If waking up early isn’t your cup of tea, you can head over later to see the much-loved nightglows where balloons light up in time to music after dark, followed by a fireworks display.

Not only that, but you can stick around for fairground rides, entertainment, live music and awe-inspiring aerial displays.

After all that festival fun, make sure you take some time out in your comfy, modern accommodation at Yugo Bristol. Recharge your batteries, get up and get ready for round two!
