Thinking about joining the ‘Lancaster bubble’? With its Roman roots, the city’s got history. There’s also a canal, riverside walks and Williamson Park with its awesome views. For a small place, there’s a lot going on into the early hours – and don’t miss the student discounts! Shopping? You’ve got the big-name brands and quirky indie stores, plus markets for bagging some cheap eats and plenty more. Morecombe Bay’s sandy beaches are also close by. Share with mates and dates for sunset picnics, dune jumping and seafront strolls.

Being in the city centre, there’s no danger of you missing out on anything, either on or off campus.
Lancaster Uni is at the end of a short bus ride, and Cumbria Uni just a 20-minute walk. For non-uni fun, find your favourite club, café, pub or restaurant, cycle the canal path or head out to Williamson Park with a frisbee, football and picnic when the sun shines. There’s also a program of cool events there, plus meerkats and a butterfly house.
