Student accommodation in Bristol

A historic and forward-thinking student HQ, Bristol was the first British city to be named European Green Capital. It’s also a cultural hotspot with Stokes Croft as the hub. There’s a calendar of events to test your stamina and a happening music scene. Try Thekla on a cargo ship in the Mud Dock area, or Motion, once voted 11th best club in the world, for some top gigs. Bristol was also the UK’s first cycling city. Hire a tandem, find a date and go exploring.

The (big) advantages of studying and living in Bristol

There are two major universities in the city, both renowned for their educational excellence. Bristol University regularly ranks among the top 50 universities in the world. UWE Bristol has earned a Gold rating, the highest available, for its teaching by the Teaching Excellence and Student Outcomes Framework (TEF). In other words, you'll be joining some of academia's elite squad!

In naming it 'The Best Place to Live in the UK', The Sunday Times praised Bristol’s mix of scenery, culture, food and drink, saying the city’s relatively small size and global feel added to its unique appeal. But perhaps the best thing about Bristol is its location. You've got easy access to the seaside, countryside and city.

Its unique balance with nature along with a community focus on sustainability led to Bristol becoming the first UK city to be named a European Green Capital, another nod to its environmental credentials.
