Student accommodation in Cardiff

Little Cardiff is big on great experiences. Catch a match or gig at Principality Stadium, roam around the castle, or chill in Bute Park. The centre is packed with trendy shops, hip cafes and nightlife. Or head to Cardiff Bay. It’s a good place to start a great night or meet up for brunch the morning after. And speaking of eating, the summer food and drink festivals are worth a look-in. And check out the farmers’ markets for fresh, budget-friendly sustainability.

It’s not all about great nights out (though that’s not a bad place to start!). Cardiff’s got so much more going on. Here’s a quick rundown to inspire you.

Studying in Cardiff

The largest city in Wales (and its capital) is home to three leading universities: Cardiff University, Cardiff Metropolitan University and the University of South Wales. The Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama is an added bonus! Altogether, around 40,000 people have chosen student accommodation in Cardiff. The city has a proud history of academic achievement, too: the Russell Group Cardiff University is ranked second nationally for the impact of its research and it's among the top five universities in the UK for research excellence.

Our space

If you're looking for student accommodation in Cardiff city centre, Arofan House is the place to be. With events all year round and communal areas to make socialising easy, you'll be making friends for life before you know it!

We have sociable ensuite flats if you'd like to live with a group of like-minded students, or studios if you'd prefer a quieter option. Either way, you’ll get a much more luxurious experience than in standard halls of residence or at some of the other student housing in Cardiff.

Our ensuite rooms come in different sizes, but they give ou private space, a double bed and a swanky ensuite bathroom. Plus plenty of secure storage.

These ensuite rooms also link onto a communal kitchen/dining area where you can spend time with your friends. You're getting the best of both worlds, and the best option for quality student accommodation in Cardiff!

We also have Studio options, ranging in size up to a massive 27m2. These are big enough for two people to live in, so they’re perfect for couples or best friends - dual-occupancy is available as an option. The social spaces at this residence are second to none, with a spacious common room available all day round, plus a TV room with a widescreen television and pool table. Outside, there’s a lovely courtyard, where in the summer months we get together for barbecues and good times. This is much more than your average university halls!

Did we mention the residence is only a 10 to 20-minute stroll from Cardiff University and the University of South Wales? Plus, the Cardiff Metropolitan University is only a short bus ride away and the bus stop is right outside our door. Everything else you need is just a short walk away: supermarkets, shops, restaurants, entertainment and train stations (Cardiff Queen Street and Cathays).
