See a Play or Musical at the West End
This should be on every bucket list of things to do in London as a student!
The West End is internationally renowned for its never ending array of musicals and theatre shows.
Mamma Mia! is bags of fun to sing along to, while new shows like Six are a modern take on the six wives of Henry the Eighth.
Classics like The Phantom of the Opera are perennials that you definitely shouldn’t miss out on.

Visit the State Rooms at Buckingham Palace
When living in London you are surrounded by reminders of the royal presence in the city.
Whether it be the Changing of the Guard, or big occasions like the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee animating the whole city, the royalty form part of the fabric of London life.
If that’s your thing, then don’t miss out on the summer opening of the State Rooms at Buckingham Palace. It’s like stepping inside an episode of The Crown, and can imagine yourself taking tea with the Queen!
Have a Picnic in the Park
After a long week of revision sessions and lectures, sometimes all you feel like doing is relaxing in the great outdoors.
