The University of Seville has multiple campuses throughout Seville. The Central Building is housed in the Real Fábrica de Tabacos near the Old Town; the Reina Mercedes Campus is near the Avenida de la Palmera in the south of the city; the Ramón y Cajal Campus is in Nervión; the Macarena Campus is in Macarena; and the Cartuja Campus is on the Isla de la Cartuja.
University of Seville students typically have four options when it comes to accommodation: private student residences (like Yugo) designed for student living, shared apartments rented from private landlords, residence halls affiliated with the university and homestays with local families.
The best area depends on your campus. Los Bermejales, Reina Mercedes and other neighbourhoods on the Avenida de la Palmera offer easy access to the Reina Mercedes Campus; Nervión and the Old Town are convenient for reaching the Central Building, Ramón y Cajal and Macarena campuses; and the Isla de la Cartuja is ideal for students at the Cartuja Campus.
Costs vary depending on the amenities and neighbourhood. Shared apartments are generally priced at €300–€700 with bills costing extra, university-affiliated residence halls are around €700–€1,100, while private student residences typically range from €800–€1,200 but offer the best facilities with bills included.
It’s best to start looking at least three months before you need to move in, so from April to June if you’re starting class in September. University-affiliated residence halls often open for applications months in advance, shared apartments are in highest demand during summer, while private residences offer better flexibility and last-minute bookings.
