Throughout the week, Yugo will bring the excitement of Formula 1 to university campuses across Madrid..
Students will be able to get behind the wheel of a racing simulator, enter competitions to win signed VCARB merchandise and race-week prizes, and receive Red Bull products during the activations.
On 10 September, residents from across Yugo’s Madrid communities will come together at Yugo Emilia Pardo Bazán for “Train Like a Motorsport Driver”. Students will test their reaction speed, agility, core strength and endurance through a series of specially designed exercises.
On 11 September, Yugo Galdós will host a Formula 1-themed celebration bringing together students from Yugo residences across Madrid. Simon Griffiths, Senior Vice President of Operations Europe at Yugo, said:
“Formula 1’s return to Madrid is a historic moment for the city, and we want our students to be part of it. Through our partnership with Visa Cash App Racing Bulls, we can bring students closer to the excitement of motorsport through activities that encourage them to take part, challenge themselves and connect with others.
“At Yugo, we believe the student experience should go far beyond where students live. By creating distinctive opportunities that support wellbeing, personal development, employability and community connection, we are helping students meet new people, explore their interests and create lasting memories during their university years.”
Madrid is the latest city to host activations as part of Yugo’s global partnership with Visa Cash App Racing Bulls, which provides students around the world with access to Formula 1-inspired educational initiatives, employability opportunities and community experiences. The Madrid programme builds on activities previously delivered around Formula 1 race weekends in cities including Barcelona and Melbourne.
