A leading public research university with a diverse student body, GSU is one of the most exciting places to study in the US. Much of its appeal is tied to the location, with the main campus fully integrated into downtown Atlanta.

This means there are tons of places to hang out and explore nearby, whether that’s local cafes and restaurants or legendary music venues like the Masquerade. GSU also has close ties to many local employers, giving students exclusive access to top job opportunities.

Kicking off with the Panther Welcome in fall and running all the way through to the Spring Fling, GSU has a packed events calendar with plenty to participate in. The student-run Cinefest Film Theater is a real highlight for movie buffs, and there are hundreds of clubs catering to other interests where you can connect with fellow students. 

Athletics are a big deal at GSU, with a host of varsity teams competing at the highest level in the Sun Belt Conference. The George State Panthers football team draws massive crowds at Center Parc Stadium, which is right around the corner from our dedicated GSU housing at Atlanta Summerhill – so you never have to worry about missing a game!
