Booking Your Room

How can I book an apartment for students and young professionals?

Booking an apartment on our website is simple and fast. Choose your preferred apartment, provide your details and submit your application. It’s that easy!

Do I need to be a full-time student to book a room?

Our accommodation is primarily for full-time students, but we also welcome young professionals, trainees and doctoral researchers.

Is there an age limit for booking with us?

You must be at least 18 years old to book a room. If you are under 18, a legal representative will need to sign the lease on your behalf.

Can I rent a room for student and young professionals on a short-term lease?

For legal reasons, our leases are for terms ranging from 9 to 12 months. You can leave your accommodation at any time, but a one-month notice period is required.

Can I visit the residence before booking?

Yes, you are welcome to arrange a visit to see the facilities before completing your application.

What do I need to pay when I book?

Once your booking is approved, you’ll receive a draft lease agreement to sign. After that, you can pay your start-up costs, which include the fees and security deposit. Your first rental payment must be made before you arrive at the residence.

Do I need to pay a deposit?

Yes, a deposit is required to secure your booking. This deposit is detailed in your tenancy agreement as part of the Damage Deposit. It is refundable if you cancel before the date specified in your contract.

What is a guarantor and why do I need one?

A guarantor is someone, such as a parent or close relative, who agrees to cover your rent if you're unable to make payments. If you don’t have a French-based guarantor, you can use services like GarantMe or apply for the Visale guarantee.

Can I combine two guarantors?

Yes, you can combine two guarantors if necessary. Each guarantor must have an income equal to at least 2.5 times the monthly rent, including taxes and expenses.

What do I do if I don’t have a guarantor?

If you don’t have a French guarantor, you can still book accommodation using services like GarantMe or by applying for the Visale guarantee. These options act as your guarantor, simplifying the process.

Do you provide female-only accommodation?

Rent & Tenancy Agreements

What does my monthly rent include?

Your monthly rent covers both the rent and a flat rate for utilities. This includes your share of the building’s general expenses (such as maintenance of common areas) and apartment-specific costs (such as water or communal heating).

Heating is included, except at the following residences: Bordeaux Pellegrin, Lille Euralille, Paris Bagnolet, Pessac Université, Talence Centre, and Talence Université.

Electricity is included for shared apartments, but for other types, it may not be included, except at Paris La Défense, Paris Grande Arche, and Marseille La Major.
After signing your lease, you’ll need to register with an electricity supplier. Our on-site manager will assist you with the details.

Are there any extra bills I have to pay?

Your rent typically covers water, heating and communal maintenance. Electricity may or may not be included depending on your residence, so please check your agreement for details.

Can I pay rent by bank transfer?

We recommend using the online portal for convenience and security, but if necessary, bank transfers can be arranged by contacting the residence team.

Can I sublet my room for the summer?
