Where are the Best Restaurants in Perth?

Australia is a very multicultural country, with people from all across the globe! In Perth, we are lucky to have so many cool and trendy restaurants that have proven to be a hit amongst university students! Whether you are after French, Asian, food trucks or Italian, we’ll show you the best places to go that suit all budgets and occasions!

BEST ASIAN FOOD

Lucky Chans Noodle Bar

311 William St, Northbridge

If you’re looking for a nice local meal with friends, Lucky Chans is your best bet. Asian Fusion food with lots of amazing flavours. They also do bubble tea cocktails which are a popular choice amongst students and you can’t find them anywhere else!  Bao sliders, a more western take on the traditional Asian staple, are proving to be very popular amongst students. Lucky Chans have some of the best in Perth and you should definitely try them out! Check out their menu to see what else they have to offer. They are also only a 10-minute walk from The Boulevard, making it super convenient to access!

Hanabing

Located in Northbridge, Hanabing brings to you deserts all the way from Korea! Famous for its Bingsu, a desert complete with very fine shaven milk, toppings and syrups. If that’s not your thing, they also do soft serve gelato with various interesting flavours such as matcha, bubble tea and coconut taro. This one is super trendy and the deserts are very Instagram worthy! It’s the perfect place to go to on a hot summers day in Perth or a late-night study snack as it’s only walking distance from your new home at The Boulevard. P’tite Ardoise Bistro

Feeling French for dinner? P’tite Ardoise Bistro is an affordable and authentic French restaurant located on Beaufort Street. Did we mention it’s only a 10-minute walk from The Boulevard, making it a perfect local eat! Mains range between $16-$22 and you can find all types of traditional French menu items. We hear they do some really good escargot!


Bistro Guillaume

Crown Perth, Great Eastern Highway, Burswood

Located in Perth’s luxury Crown Resort, Bistro Guillaume serves some of Perth’s best French food. This one is best for a special occasion so, save it for a romantic date night or to celebrate end of exams with your friends. The Crown Resort and Casino complex is a great place to dine or to watch a show, it’s only a short train ride away from Perth station, making it super easy to get to from The Boulevard!

Siena’s of Leederville

Situated on Oxford Street, amongst the buzzing nightlife of Leederville, you’ll find Perth favourite, Siena’s. The restaurant has a huge menu with lots of popular Italian favourites, I guaranteed you’ll spend ages trying to decide what to order. It’s also extremely affordable for the student budget. To get there all you need to do is take the train from Perth station one stop up to Leederville. Super convenient and super easy!


Galileo Buona Cucina

Want to experience the flavours of Italy without having to go there? What’s cool about Galileo is, they are one of only 10 restaurants in Western Australia recognised with the quality seal from the Italian government! So, you’re guaranteed to be served authentic Italian food. This place is known for its fresh pasta with Italian ingredients sourced straight from Italy. BEST WATERFRONT RESTAURANTS

Cicerello’s

44 Mews Rd, Fremantle

You can’t visit Australia without having some Fish and Chips. Cicerello’s in Fremantle is where all the locals go and holds the #1 title for fish and chips in WA. The restaurant is on the water front meaning you’ll get a sweet view of the harbour whilst you eat. It’s super easy to get to, just one train down to Fremantle. If you go to the University of Notre Dame, it’s the perfect place to get food after class. Whilst you’re there, you can check out all the great sights of Fremantle. Mister Walker

Situated on the South Perth foreshore is Mister Walker. Open all day, you can come here for great views of the Perth CBD skyline from across the water. It’s the perfect place for a romantic night out or to catch up with friends. We know students love their brunch and Mister Walker offers a variety of unique dishes to try. Definitely check out their menu on their website here. They are known for their fresh seafood; however, the menu is so diverse that there is something on there to suit everyone! Getting there couldn’t be simpler! Just take the ferry from Elizabeth Quay across to South Perth and you’ll be right there!


BEST FOOD TRUCKS

Jumpling’s

Jumpling’s specialise in Japanese style dumplings and is one of the most popular food truck in Perth. Mainly seen at the universities, they are also at most events and festivals, making it extremely popular for Perth locals! The great thing about Perth universities is they all welcome a variety of food trucks, which makes it super easy to grab a nice meal in between classes.  Check out the Jumpling’s Facebook page  to see where the truck will make its way next. Georges Kebabs / Greek Streats

Frequently spotted at Curtin and UWA, George’s Kebabs brings us Greek style kebabs and souvlaki! Not feeling that? They offer a variety of menu items with a Greek flair including burgers, nachos and fries. This one is real popular amongst Uni students and you’ll see why. COOL PLACES TO EAT IN PERTH

Whisk Creamery

An all-time favourite for students, Whisk is one of the most popular dessert parlours in Perth. They’re famous for their extravagant milkshakes and loaded cronuts, Whisk will definitely satisfy your sweet craving. The great thing about it is, you can customise and create your own desserts, making it one of the coolest places to eat in Perth! Whisk is located in the heart of Northbridge, so you can treat yourself to some sweets after a long study session. Sayers Sister

236 Lake St, Perth

Located in Northbridge and easily accessible to The Boulevard, Sayers Sister is known for being home to some pretty unique food and good coffee. You’ll find some interesting menu items that you’ll definitely want to Instagram and show all your friends!  Sayers is open for all meals of the day but is most popular at brunch, so be sure to also get your coffee fix from here.
