The National Sea Life Centre is also a great place to visit. Tickets start at just £13 and there are plenty of animals to see. Glass tunnels run through the aquariums that showcase sharks, penguins, otters, turtles, octopus, stingrays and more.

At Cannock Chase, just outside of Birmingham, you’ll find Go Ape. An area of outstanding natural beauty, Cannock Chase is always a popular spot, but Go Ape makes it even more exciting by offering everything from zip wires and Tarzan swings to high rope obstacles and forest segways. As exciting as city life is, it’s nice to get out and visit scenic areas like this every now and then.
