Exploring Southampton
Southampton is best-known for its busy port, as millions of cargo containers come and go each year. Weston Shore, just by the Royal Victoria Country Park, is a perfect spot for picnics where you can watch the impressive cruise liners pull in.
During the day, why not visit the fun attractions that Southampton has to offer? In St Michael’s Square, there is a fascinating Tudor House and Gardens. Aside from brushing up on your Tudor history, you can take a seat in the gardens and get stuck into some coursework? It’s a beautiful and relaxing place to study away from uni.
If you’re more of an adrenaline-seeker, head to the snow-sports centre or, if you’re feeling especially crazy, go paintballing.
Fancy something further afield? Bournemouth, AKA one of the most famous seaside towns in the country, is just a 30-minute train ride away. This vibrant area offers beautiful sandy beaches, a pier full of fun attractions and a great shopping centre.
