Here, you can enjoy beautiful views, quirky little villages and a local nature reserve. The sandy beaches and secluded bays attract a huge range of visitors each year and even if the weather lets you down, you can always visit Tantallon Castle and the fantastic restaurants close by. This area will show you a more relaxed, picturesque side to Scotland that you’ll love.

If you’re studying in London or you’re looking for a fun trip from away from Plymouth, London’s Gin Distillery in Blackfriars is a great place to spend an afternoon.

Celebrating London’s famous “gin craze” of the 18th century (which seems to have come back around in recent years!), this bar is steeped in history and produces some of the best gin in the world.

Take a trip to Brighton

Students in London can escape city life for a day by heading to Brighton. It’s just a 30-minute train ride from Victoria, making it the ideal seaside town to visit.

Full of great beaches, pubs, restaurants and boutiques, Brighton has plenty to offer students all year round – but especially in the summertime when the weather’s a bit nicer.

When you’re there, make sure you pick up some world-famous fish and chips and visit the fascinating Sea Life Aquarium. Brighton Pier is also a must if you’re planning a trip to Brighton. Full of great stalls, arcades and bars, it’s an ideal place for summer fun.
